Leeds United have confirmed that Kalvin Phillips could miss six weeks of action after picking up a shoulder injury against Wolves on Monday.
The Whites were beaten 1-0 at Elland Road after the United midfielder deflected Raul Jimenez's shot past Illan Meslier
Whilst Phillips won't require any surgery the club have confirmed he could miss up to six weeks of action.
Leeds were already without the services of Diego Llorente on Monday, whilst Liam Cooper pulled out in the warm-up, with Pascal Struijk called into action to partner Robin Koch in defence.
With Phillips now injured, along with long-term absentee Adam Forshaw, Marcelo Bielsa could find himself with an injury crisis in midfield and defence ahead of their trip to Aston Villa on Friday night.
On the severity of Phillips' injury, a club statement read: "Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips suffered a shoulder injury in last night's Premier League defeat to Wolves at Elland Road.
"Whilst we are pleased to confirm that surgery is not required, the Leeds born England International could still face up to six weeks on the sidelines.
"Kalvin began his rehab at Thorp Arch this morning and will be working hard with the medical team to return to action as soon as possible."
