Leeds United confirm team news for Ajax with Pascal Struijk fit to start

Leeds United have confirmed their starting line-up and squad for the penultimate friendly of pre-season in Amsterdam against Ajax.

Illan Meslier, Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Patrick Bamford, Raphinha, Stuart Dallas, Rodrigo, Jack Harrison, Mateusz Klich and Jamie Shackleton are all included in the squad.

Diego Llorente and Junior Firpo are missing entirely from the group in Amsterdam, though both are understood to be ruled out by minor knocks.

The expected formation of the line-up is: Meslier; Shackleton, Ayling, Struijk, Dallas; Koch; Raphinha, Klich, Rodrigo, Harrison; Bamford.

Earlier on Wednesday, Adam Forshaw, Liam Cooper, Ian Poveda, Tyler Roberts, Helder Costa and Kalvin Phillips all featured in a match with Ajax’s reserves.

Roberts and Costa are included on the bench and look poised for more minutes in this later match. The same can be said for Jack Jenkins, Liam McCarron and Crysencio Summerville too.

Meanwhile, Kristoffer Klaesson is also named on the bench in what could be his debut as a Whites goalkeeper.

The final chance for united’s players to get minutes in their legs before next weekend’s curtain-raiser at Manchester United is this Saturday against Villareal.
