Leeds United confirm second transfer deadline day departure

Jordan Stevens has joined League Two Barrow and left Leeds United permanently.

A club statement said: "Winger Jordan Stevens has left Leeds United permanently and will join League Two side Barrow.

"Jordan made his breakthrough at hometown club Forest Green before signing for Leeds United in 2018.

"The 21-year-old went on to enjoy two loan spells during his time with the club at Swindon and Bradford City during the 2020/21 season.

"We thank Jordan for his efforts and wish him well for the future."

The 21-year-old departs West Yorkshire with six senior appearances to his name since arriving from Forest Green Rovers in 2018.

Marcelo Bielsa gave Stevens his United debut in January 2019 as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat at Stoke City. He went on to make five more appearances under Bielsa in 2019/20.

The winger had loan spells with Swindon Town and Bradford City last term, but failed to make a major impression with either club.

At Barrow, Stevens links up once more with Mark Cooper, who first brought him through at Forest Green.
