Leeds United confirm fresh 49ers Enterprises investment and increased Elland Road control

Leeds United have announced fresh investment from 49ers Enterprises and an increased control of the Elland Road club.

A club statement said: “Leeds United are pleased to confirm 49ers Enterprises have increased the stake of their minority position in Leeds United.

“Aser Ventures maintains 56 per cent ownership of the club, with 49ers Enterprises now controlling 44 per cent.”

Chief executive Angus Kinnear said: “We are delighted to see Aser Ventures strengthen their partnership with 49ers Enterprises who have clearly been impressed by the quality of the project.

“Aser Ventures and chairman Andrea Radrizzani remain unequivocally committed to the club, while all those involved with the 49ers are actively working with our management team on a daily basis to help to drive us forward, putting us in a strong position to achieve our goals in the coming years.”

At the start of this year, the 49ers group increased its ownership stake to 37 per cent and made Paraag Marathe vice chairman.
