Leeds United confirm first departure of the summer as Paudie O'Connor joins Bradford City

Leeds United have confirmed that defender Paudie O'Connor has joined Bradford City on a permanent deal.

The move is the club's first transfer of the summer and will see the 21-year-old centre-back return to Valley Parade following a loan spell last season.

O'Connor joined Leeds from Limerick on 2017 and made his debut under Paul Heckingbottom during an injury crisis at the back end of the 2017-18 season.

He would go on to make four first-team appearances for the Whites before being loaned out to Blackpool last summer.

After making ten appearances for the Seasiders his loan was cut short in January, when he signed on at Bradford for the rest of that campaign.

Following a slow start with the Bantams he became a regular when Gary Bowyer took charge as the club were relegated to League Two.

He has now re-joined Leeds' West Yorkshire rivals in the first Elland Road departure of the summer.
