Leeds United confirm Bryce Hosannah has penned new contract after bright start to loan spell

Leeds United have confirmed that Bryce Hosannah has signed a new deal with the club.

The right-back is currently enjoying a season-long loan at Yorkshire neighbours Bradford City and has impressed in his seven performances so far.

His contract at Elland Road was due to expire at the end of the current season, but he has now agreed fresh terms which will keep him at the club until end of the 2021-22 campaign.

Hosannah has been a regular in Leeds' under-23s side since his 2017 arrival from Crystal Palace and has made the first-team matchday squad once as an unused substitute against Huddersfield Town in December 2019.

Prior to his loan move to Bradford Hosannah had made three appearances in this season's Premier League 2 for Leeds' under-23s side

Hosannah last week spoke about life on loan and the influence of Bantams boss Stuart McCall.

"He’s different to what I’m used to, he’s a lot more involved with the players, he’s really bubbly,” said the right-back.

“As a coach he’s shown a lot of confidence in me, always encouraging me on the training ground to be positive in everything I do.

“He’s the sort of coach I was hoping I’d get, someone to try and push me on and not hold me back. I’ve been enjoying playing under him so far.”
