Another of Leeds United’s brightest young prospects has been tied down to a long-term contract at Elland Road.
Across the past season, director of football Victor Orta has set about keeping the club’s best young players on long-term contracts.
Following the likes of Robbie Gotts, Oliver Casey and Mateusz Bogusz, 20-year-old Jamie Shackleton has signed on for another four years.

With less than one year remaining on his existing deal, the Thorp Arch academy product has committed his future to the club until at least 2024.
Shackleton finished the Championship-winning campaign with a flurry, scoring his first and second professional goals for the club in the last two matches.
Marcelo Bielsa took a liking to Shackleton from the start of his tenure in West Yorkshire.
After coming off the bench in the Argentine’s second match in charge, he had his full league debut by the time the fourth match came around.
Shackleton has been used more than any of his contemporaries from the under-23 ranks by Bielsa, who has played him as a right-back and a central midfielder.
Shackleton has now made 48 appearances in all competitions for the Whites.
