Leeds United have confirmed Mateusz Bogusz has left the club to join Spanish side UD Ibiza on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old spent last campaign with fellow Spanish outfit UD Logrones.
Bogusz was limited to nine La Liga 2 starts, making 14 appearances from the bench in total, scoring just once as the club were relegated to the third tier of Spanish football.
The Polish Under-21 international joined the Whites in 2019 from Ruch Chorzow and is contracted at Elland Road until the summer of 2023.
Bogusz has made three first-team appearances under Marcelo Bielsa but impressed supporters during their tour of Australia in 2019.
A new loan move was always the plan for Bogusz, who spoke about the possibility of moving away temporarily in June ahead of talks with director of football Victor Orta.
“Yes, [have two years left on my contract], with an option to extend it for another year. Rather, my return to England at this point is probably not a priority, because at Leeds, my chances of playing are low, so I still want to go on loan,” Bogusz told Łączy Nas Piłka last month.
“I want to develop and keep playing, that’s what I’ve missed recently and that’s what I care about.
“It [my future] will be decided in the second half of June, we will talk about it with the Leeds authorities, and at the moment I do not know too much about it.
“Return to Poland? I don’t know if that would be a step back for me. I have to think carefully about everything, but there are interests from other clubs.
“For sure I am not cancelling any proposal at the moment, I am open to offers, but I also know one thing that now I have to go to a club that will suit me with the style of the game, and I must fit into the coach’s concept."
