Leeds United confirm Amazon documentary release date with spine-tingling teaser trailer

Leeds United have confirmed that the Amazon documentary series showcasing last year's remarkable campaign will be released on Friday.

Take Us Home will cover the 2018-19 season which saw Marcelo Bielsa arrive at Elland Road and lead his side to a third place finish and subsequent play-off defeat and is narrated by Hollywood a-lister and huge Whites fan Russell Crowe.

Following an initial trailer last month, the club have released a new, shorter teaser trailer to promote Friday's release.

This time the action is restricted to one match - the barely-believable 3-2 comeback win over Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day, when Leeds netted twice in stoppage time for the second match in a row.

Angus Kinnear confirmed that the series will premier in Leeds tonight, with all six episodes dropping on Amazon on Friday for fans to stream.

“Finally, on Wednesday, August 14, an exclusive six-part Amazon Prime documentary will premiere chronicling Marcelo’s first season in charge,” he said.

“Take Us Home is narrated by Russell Crowe and provides unprecedented insight into last season’s campaign.

“While the ending, in cinematic terms, is undoubtedly more Scarface than It’s A Wonderful Life I believe the series captures the commitment, unity and passion that players, staff and supporters have for our club and should give everyone great confidence for the season ahead.”
