Leeds United close to the 'finished article' under Javi Gracia

Jermaine Beckford believes Javi Gracia is slowly but surely building a team which is almost the 'finished article' at Leeds United.

Gracia has collected seven points from his first four league games at the helm, and signed off for the international break with a 4-2 victory over Wolves at Molineux.

Leeds climbed out of the relegation zone as a result, and sit in 14th place and two points clear of the bottom three ahead of their trip to league leaders Arsenal on Saturday.

Former Leeds forward Beckford has been impressed by the early signs under Gracia, and argued that results from recent weeks wouldn't have been so forthcoming under his predecessor Jesse Marsch.

“There are lots of different elements we are starting to see slowly but surely creating a team that looks like almost a finished article”, Beckford told Leeds United’s Official Podcast.

“We’ve still got a little way to go, don’t get me wrong but we are seeing improvements. We have picked up a lot of decent points, very good points, in the last few games against very good opposition.

“And to be honest, four to five weeks ago, do I think we would have picked up these points in the manner in which we did? I am not entirely confident that we would have done it.”
