Leeds United's summer recruitment drive is already well underway as the club look to bolster their ranks.
The club are keen to improve on last season's ninth-place finish by adding quality over quantity to Marcelo Bielsa's squad in the off-season.
The Championship has proven over the years to be a gold mine for talent, though it wasn't a route the club looked down last summer.
Instead, Leeds operated in the foreign market to sign Diego Llorente, Robin Koch, Raphina and Rodrigo Moreno as their four marquee summer additions.
Leeds want to get their business wrapped up in June, if possible, with Victor Orta hopeful they will have their summer acquisitions in the building for pre-season.
“It’s a strange market, I think obviously I want all the new players to start pre-season," he told The Phil Hay Show.
“I still have a long month of June and obviously I hope that the month of June we can finish the job.
“We can put our effort but it is not always just our side. Perhaps from our side, it is all done but there are a lot of people involved and it is out of our control.”
Saturday's Championship play-off final could present Leeds with the perfect opportunity to solve a problem position.
Barry Douglas is out of contract and set to leave the club whilst Ezgjan Alioski has not signed the new terms offered to him ahead of the European Championships.
That makes left-back a quite obvious area for improvement and should Brentford lose to Swansea City at the Wembley showpiece, their resolve on Rico Henry could be tested.
The Englishman has suffered with a hamstring complaint this season but is still one of the finest the Championship has to offer. He's been linked with a move to the Premier League on several occasions, with Aston Villa, unsurprisingly, touted as a possible destination, given Dean Smith's involvement.
Southampton are also keen on signing Henry this summer to replace the departing Ryan Bertrand. Regardless of the Bees' fate, it's very likely the 23-year-old will be playing Premier League football next season.
In the opposite corner, Swansea could be susceptible to offers for Connor Roberts if they don't make the step up.
The flying Welsh defender has scored five goals and registered seven assists in 43 appearances.
Admittedly, Leeds are better stocked at right-back, with Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas as cover, but another recognised option down the right-hand side would be a welcome addition.
Roberts and Henry both have the necessary skillset to meet Bielsa's high demands. Both are extremely quick and fit, with their quality in the final third their standout features.
Whilst all eyes will be on which club can secure a place in the promised land. For the loser, they risk having their assets stripped.
