Leeds United boss Marcelo Biesla's brother reveals all about his future as Rangers eye Birmingham City striker

Whilst teams across the Championship are still bidding to finish the campaign as high as they possibly can, everyone has one eye on the summer transfer window.

Clubs have been planning their summer moves for months already and the closer we get to the transfer window, the more speculation we get.

Here is the latest round of rumours and gossip from around the Championship.

Biesla's future

Marcelo Bielsa's brother, Rafael, has lifted the lid on the Leeds United manager's future at Elland Road.

He has revealed that if the Whites are promoted to the Premier League that his brother is contractually obliged to stay for a second term in Yorkshire.

They also have an option on his deal if they aren't successful in their bid to reach the top flight.

He said: “I made the contract. If they don’t go up to the Premier League, Leeds have the option to keep it. Taking into account the campaign that is fulfilling is difficult to not keep it. And if Leeds go up, it is mandatory for both parties to stay."

Birmingham outcast could leave for Rangers

Birmingham City could be set to finally part ways with Greg Stewart during the summer transfer window.

Stewart has long been an outcast at Birmingham and that has not changed this season.

The 29-year-old spent the first part of the season on loan at Kilmarnock and actually impressed by scoring eight goals in 16 matches.

Stewart was recalled by Birmingham before going on loan to Aberdeen after the turn of the year.

This latest loan deal has not been as successful but that has not stopped Rangers courting the forward with a view to signing him this summer.

The summer signing Swansea City are yet to see the best of and the stat that offers hope for the future

Stewart is out of contract at the end of the campaign and Rangers are expected to pounce, according to Football Insider.

Huddersfield want Wednesday keeper

Huddersfield Town are eager to sign Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.

That’s according to reports from The Sun, who claim that Huddersfield will make a move during the summer transfer window.

Westwood is a key man Wednesday after making the switch to Hillsborough from Sunderland back in 2014.

The 34-year-old, however, struggled initially this season before becoming Steve Bruce’s number one when the former Manchester United defender took over.

Westwood is thought highly of in Sheffield but Huddersfield are still aiming to prize him away from Bruce’s clutches.

Huddersfield eager to land Campbell

Huddersfield Town have identified Hull City star Fraizer Campbell as a target for the summer transfer window.

Campbell is out of contract at the end of the season but is awaiting an extension from the Tigers.

However, it’s unclear whether Campbell would even accept a deal if offered, with Hull Live reporting that Huddersfield’s interest is serious.

Leeds could lose star

Leeds United may be challenging for the Premier League but they could still lose one of their key players regardless.

Kalvin Phillips has been outstanding for Leeds this season and has played 39 games in the Championship.

The midfielder has started all of those matches and has led the way throughout the campaign.

These performances have impressed Premier League teams including Southampton, who are reportedly planning a summer move.

The Sun are reporting that Southampton will bid for Phillips during the upcoming window, with a bid of around £20m expected.
