Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has been shortlisted in the final three for men's coach of the year in FIFA's The Best awards.
The awards, which started in 2016 following the end of FIFA's partnership with France Football over the Ballon d'Or, see coaches and players nominated for a host of categories to do with their achievements over the last year.
Bielsa was initially included on the five-person shortlist for the best men's coach after leading Leeds to promotion back to the Premier League.
The shortlist was compiled by a panel of experts and based on coaches' achievements between July 2019 and October 2020.
It's now been revealed that Bielsa will compete against Bayern Munich's Hansi Flick and Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp for the top award, with the White boss selected ahead of Sevilla's Julen Lopetegui and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane for the main prize.
Klopp won the Premier League with Liverpool for the first time in Premier League history whilst Flick completed a Champions League and Bundesliga double with Bayern, putting Bielsa amongst illustrious company.
The winner will be announced at FIFA's The Best awards ceremony in Zurich on Thursday, December 17.
Leeds fans will be able to have their say on who should win the award, with voting open to the general public.
Voting is weighted equally between fans, journalists, national team coaches and captains and supporter can cast their vote on FIFA's website.
Bielsa and Leeds were last year named winners of the FIFA Fair Play award after allowing Aston Villa to score during a feisty clash in April 2019.
