Leeds United boardroom gets a resounding message from the dressing room on Jesse Marsch's future

Messages to Leeds United’s boardroom on the dressing room’s Jesse Marsch stance did not come much clearer than last weekend’s at Anfield. After a winless run of eight matches, including drab losses to Leicester City and Fulham, the pressure was mounting on the American, but players and board stood by him. The fruits of that support were borne out at Anfield.

The Elland Road supremo would also praise the overall running distance of the tea, Illan Meslier’s goalkeeping, Tyler Adams’s midfield dominance, Rodrigo’s goal record and Crysencio Summerville’s tentative progress.

Tyler’s dominance in midfield, Rodrigo building on his minutes-per-goal stats (that currently rank him in illustrious Premier League company) and the continued emergence of Crysencio Summerville, who we all believe can reward our patient development with much more than the occasional cameo.

“However, the most significant takeaway is the team remains all in and couldn’t have demonstrated greater commitment to Jesse’s leadership.”
