Leeds United board 'will react' after slipping into drop zone after Everton defeat claims pundit

Former Premier League manager Tim Sherwood believes Leeds United interim boss Michael Skubala won't be in charge for next weekend's six-pointer against Southampton due to ownership 'panic'.

Skubala and fans alike were hoping for a big haul of points from their trip to Goodison Park this afternoon but a Seamus Coleman strike saw them fall 1-0 and drop into the bottom three for the first time this season.

Other results around the Premier League didn't help the Whites cause either after Southampton found three points in their trip to Chelsea while Bournemouth found a 1-0 win over Wolves.

Nottingham Forest also managed to get themselves further away from the drop zone after a late Chris Wood equaliser saw them take a point against title challengers Manchester City.

"No, not at all," Sherwood said when asked if he could see any difference in Leeds under Michael Skubala than Leeds under Jesse Marsch on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday.

"I think that’s the last we see of Michael Skubala to be honest. I think they’ll react, you know what owners and chairman are like, they panic.

"I think they’ll make a decision, I think they need a manager in there as soon as possible to give them a chance, especially in light of the results we’ve seen today.

"They’ve got dragged right back into it. I think he’ll go back and do the [under] 21s. It’s been a tough job for him, he’s had two very difficult games but they performed better against Manchester United than they did today.

"It was almost a must-win game for them, it was a winnable game, it was there for the taking but you have to give credit to Everton."
