Leeds United renew interest in £12m Liverpool star also wanted by Aston Villa, Rangers and Middlesbrough who flopped at Bristol City

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has been to watch Ryan Kent in action for Liverpool.

The Scottish Sun report that Rangers' hopes of taking Kent back on loan for the upcoming campaign have taken a blow with the news, with Bielsa seemingly renewing his interest in the former Bristol City player.

Kent's stock has never been higher than it is now, with Aston Villa and Middlesbrough also linked with the player - a far cry from a year ago when he ended an unsuccessful loan spell at the Robins.

The Robins were actually fined for not playing Kent enough but he has reinvigorated his career with his stint at Ibrox.

Leeds boss Bielsa attended Liverpool's win over Bradford City to watch the player, although it is currently unclear if Jurgen Klopp is willing to sanction another loan move for the 22-year-old.

Klopp is understood to have delayed a decision on Kent's future until the likes of Mo Salah return to Anfield, and the winger is expected to feature in the Reds' three-game trip to the USA.

The Reds value Kent at around £12m, which effectively would mean only Aston Villa have the money to buy him on a permanent basis, yet Leeds are said to be willing to offer £1m as a loan fee for the season.
