Leeds United and the other teams battling Bristol City for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah

Young Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah looks to be heading out on loan, with a number of Championship clubs beginning to circle for his services.

The 20-year-old has been a part of Unai Emery's first team squad during pre-season, scoring in the matches against Bayern Munich and Fiorentina, but there are concerns over a possible lack of game time at the Emirates Stadium, with strikers such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe all expected to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Therefore, the decision to send him out on loan could be one that suits all parties. On the news that Nketiah could be available on a temporary deal, Championship clubs have made their interest be known.

As reported by football.london , Bristol City are currently leading the way for the striker, their history of helping to develop players such as Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham - stands them in good stead with Arsenal, as does the style of football that is played by Lee Johnson's men.

There are a number of other clubs interested in the striker though, according to Leeds United reporter, Phil Hay, the Whites are considering making a move for Nketiah, following the expected departure of striker Kemar Roofe to Anderlecht.

Arsenal: 2019/20 season preview

While WalesOnline report that Swansea City are also interested in taking the Arsenal man on loan.

A loan move to Augsburg was blocked by Unai Emery last season, despite the Spaniard not giving the 20-year-old more desired game time. Nketiah described the deal falling through as 'disappointing'.

The addition of Pepe could give Nketiah his wish of playing regular football for the upcoming season.
