One of the more popular pubs in the city is set to undergo a redevelopment.
For thousands of Leeds United fans, there is nothing better than the matchday routine for a home game at Elland Road - with many visiting The Old Peacock before kick-off.
But the pub looks like it's soon to be undergoing a makeover as a planning application has been proposed to extend the outside drinking area.

The pub hopes to add a covered roof area with festoon lighting above whilst expanding its outdoor drinking area.
The Old Peacock has been open on Elland Road since 1826, and the closest pub to the ground has always proved one of the most popular pre-match watering holes.
Somewhat mirroring the resurrection in fortunes of the football club itself, close to half a millions pounds was spent on modernising and refurbishing the old pub in 2013.

The pub's walls are covered with Leeds United wallpaper and memorabilia which is always a good start, and as you'd expect the pub is always rammed with Leeds United fans on a matchday.
They have a huge beer garden at the back of the pub where bands perform on matchdays, which is great when the weather is nice.

All in all, they can pack a lot of fans into the pub and it is the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere before the match.
The Peacock is now an Ossett Brewery pub, which means the beers are very good indeed. You can probably find cheaper drinks in the Beeston area, but it is certainly a cheaper round than your average city centre boozer.
