Leeds United and Aston Villa fans have toasted the success of their own youth products after footage emerged of Jack Grealish and Kalvin Phillips in England training.
Both players started in England's 3-0 win over Wales on Thursday before dropping to the bench for the 2-1 Nations League victory against Belgium.
Leeds midfielder Phillips made it off the bench against Belgium but both will be hoping to start against Denmark on Wednesday.
The duo were rivals on the pitch during heated Championship clashes between Leeds and Villa in the 2018/19 season, but they are clearly friends off the pitch.
Indeed, Grealish congratulated Phillips on his first England call-up in August, despite initially not making the squad for those matches himself.
Footage has now emerged of the duo laughing and joking during training on international duty.
Birmingham Live report it went down well with supporters of both clubs, with one Villa fan saying: "Two lads who love playing for their clubs, great to see them get along."
"We always have back and forths with each other, but honestly, when you’ve got the top six looking at clubs like Villa, Leeds, Wolves and Leicester who are ambitious and are building a project that could threaten them, we should come together and forge rivalries with them," said another.
While one Leeds supporter responded: "I honestly think these two should be starting or at least try it. I reckon the combo would do damage."
"If Phillips likes him then so do I," wrote another.
A third said: "Two local lads excelling with there and hopefully getting decent chances by our Gareth, it's very nice to see."
"The future of England these two," posted another Whites fan.
While a fifth added: "Just don't get playing Mason Mount ahead of Grealish. No comparison in what they offer."
