Leeds United have hit back at comments made by pundit Tim Sherwood after Marcelo Bielsa's men answered their critics in style.
Leeds bounced back from successive defeat to beat Newcastle United 5-2 in Wednesday night's Premier League clash at Elland Road.
Bielsa's side have earned plenty of plaudits for their high-energy style so far this season.
But a few recent blips prompted some, including former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa boss Sherwood, to suggest the team might be running out of steam as the campaign progresses.
In the build-up to the Newcastle match, Sherwood said: "When I was watching the West Ham game (which Leeds lost 2-1), towards the end, dare I say it, they got a little bit tired towards the end of the game and they’re the fittest team in the league.
"They have such a tempo all of the time, I’m unsure whether they’ve burned a gasket here."
Although Sherwood went on to praise Bielsa, Leeds fans were none too impressed by the earlier suggestions.
And the players proved him wrong by scoring three goals without reply in the final 15 minutes to see off Newcastle.
The club's official Twitter account then got in on the act with an apparent reference to Sherwood's comments - and the team's doubters in general.
They posted a clip of Leeds' fourth goal, scored by Ezgjan Alioski after a barnstorming 85th-minute counter attack, along with the caption: "'Blown a gasket' they said. 'Tired already' they said. Alioskiiiiiiiiii!!!!"
One delighted Leeds fan replied: "Bad night for Timmy!"
Another said: "But in all honesty I'm sick of it now from these lazy pundits."
And a third supporter responded: "They don’t understand, do they?"
