Leeds train line closed next weekend for Platform Zero works

Leeds railway passengers will be hit with cancellations over the late May bank holiday weekend.

Network Rail has announced that from Saturday 23 to Monday 25 there will be a closure of platforms one to five to allow for work on the new Platform Zero.

This means there will be a bus replacement service between Leeds and Horsforth including stations at Headingley and Burley Park.

There will be service pick up and drop off points outside the main entrance at Leeds station, Ashville Road in Burley Park, bus stops in Kirkstall Lane for Headingley and Station Road bus stop opposite the optician’s in Horsforth.

In a post on Twitter, Network Rail said: “Sat 23, Sun 24 & Mon 25 May

“Bus replacement service between #Leeds and #Horsforth stations (including #Headingley & #BurleyPark )

“Allowing us to close Platforms 1-5 and safely continue work on the new Platform Zero.

“Check before you travel @nationalrailenq."
