What's making Leeds tick today?
If you could change one thing about Leeds.... it'd be to improve transport in the city. That's what what Leeds residents said during a #leedsdebate on Twitter yesterday.
Following the resignation of councillor Stuart Andrew, a by-election will take place in the Guiseley & Rawdon ward of the City on Thursday, 14 October. Details can be found on the Leeds council website. Andrew is now the Conservative MP for Pudsey.
The Yorkshire Post says the Merrion Centre has reported its fifth consecutive year of growth and beat the downturn. The opening of the new Leeds Arena is also expected to provide more opportunities for the centre.
