* The Christmas park and ride schemes used to ease traffic around Leeds during the holiday period have been cancelled by the council.
The council has previously made three sites available, to the North, South and West of the city centre, in order to ease congestion during the peak shopping days.Lib Dem Group Leader Stewart Golton (Rothwell) has discovered the council does not plan to repeat the service this year.
"Given the recent controversies around city centre parking I would have thought the council would do all it can to make life easier for those driving into the city centre."
