It's been a mixed weekend for our major sports teams - congratulations to Leeds Rhinos for reaching the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley after their thriling win over St Helens. Leeds United's Championship bow saw the Whites slip to a 2-1 defeat against Derby in a game screened live on BBC One. There were 12 arrests made at the game, mainly during minor trouble at the end of the match, reports the BBC.

Today I'll be previewing a planning meeting on Thursday which sees controversial proposals for a development at old Leeds Girls' High School site up for discussion - and apparently recommended for approval. I'll also be looking at one of the city's hidden treasures - The Leeds Library.
