Leeds taxi driver robbed at knifepoint as police appeal for wanted man

Police are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a wanted man after a taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police want to trace 41-year-old Stephen Loftus in connection with the terrifying robbery which happened earlier this year in Harehills.

A spokesman for the force said: "Police are appealing for information to help trace a man who is wanted over a knifepoint robbery in Leeds.

"Officers from Leeds District Crime Team are seeking Stephen Loftus, aged 41, over the robbery of a taxi driver in Roberts Avenue, Harehills, on March 28 this year."

Anyone who sees Mr Loftus or has information about where he is currently located is urged to contact detective constable 6864 Taylor at Leeds District Crime Team quoting crime reference number 13200156747.
