Leeds store at risk after Liam Gallagher's clothing brand goes into administration

Liam Gallagher's fashion brand Pretty Green has gone into administration - placing a Leeds city centre store at risk of closure.

The retailer, founded in 2009 by the Oasis frontman, announced the decision on Friday, the BBC reports .

A notice on the doors of its shops says Pretty Green's 13 stores in department store concessions will continue trading until further notice.

Pretty Green has a store in King Edward Street in the city centre and the fashion line is also sold in House of Fraser, Briggate.

Two partners at Moorfields Advisory Limited were appointed as joint administrators on March 28.

A spokeswoman said the brand was not 'immune' to the challenges facing the UK high street.
