Leeds Spice Girl Mel B teases the prospect of more comeback shows

Leeds Spice Girl Mel B has teased the prospect of more reunion shows as part of a massive world tour.

Mel B, 44, who grew up in Harehills, has just finished the group's UK comeback tour. Four of the five original line up took to stages across Britain for the sell-out gigs.

Posh Spice, AKA Victoria Beckham, did not join the girls on the road.

Mel B, one of our famous celebrity Leeds United fans, appeared on Good Morning Britain this morning to discuss future plans.

She said: “We’ve done it in a nice and classy way. We only started off with six shows that went to 13 shows. They sold out really, really quickly. So, there’s something of a need and I think people want Spice Girls relief.

“I did suggest we continue it and we go to Australia in February - doesn’t that make sense?”

Host Piers Morgan then asked about the prospect of playing in America.

The Spice Girl replied: “One thing at a time. We do England, we do Australia and then America and then we do it all over again.”

Lots of people in Leeds were disappointed Mel B didn’t come home and hope the Spice Girls might play Elland Road in the future - or even at Roundhay Park.

During her appearance on the ITV programme, Mel B also spoke of her disappointment that Posh Spice didn’t reunite with the girls on tour.

Mel B said: “I expected her to come and just say hi at least. Not even on stage, just as an audience member supporting.

“I’m sure she has her reasons for not. I’ve already said, ‘yeah I was upset’, I still am a little bit. It is what it is and us girls we all support each other no matter what, but yeah it is disappointing.”
