Rodrigo claims the Leeds players know Marcelo Bielsa is their manager rather than their mate.
Bielsa prefers to keep his distance from his players in contrast to some coaches who like to know their squad personally.
He only speaks to them about football and Rodrigo says he is respectful and professional.
“His personality is what it is, very strong, but always respectful,” said the Spain forward.
“What you see at a press conference is him, he never says something to play to the gallery. He demands the maximum from everyone.
“His relationship with the players is purely professional.”
Rodrigo, 30, has worked with some varied coaches during his career with Bolton, Benfica and Valencia since starting out at as a trainee at Real Madrid and says Bielsa is unique.

Leeds’ record £26million signing claims he is meticulous in his attention to detail.
“His methods are nothing like what I've encountered with other coaches,” he told Spanish publication AS. “It’s a more analytical way of working. It’s all about real-game situations.”
Bielsa took Rodrigo off against Chelsea on Saturday 44 minutes after sending him on and insisted he was happy with him as he builds up his match fitness following a groin injury.
Rodrigo says Bielsa is more physically demanding than any of his previous coaches and he has had to adapt to this during his injury and Covid-hit first season.
“The physical demands of the Premier League are higher and Bielsa’s even more so, I’ve improved a lot,” he said.
“I’m playing more as a midfielder than as a striker, although in Valencia I also played in several positions, so that’s not so new to me.
“It’s been a stop-start season. First, I had to adapt when I arrived and when I did, I caught Covid. For two weeks I did not play and when I came back, I got injured.
“In the context of all that, I’m happy with the 20 games I have been able to play.”
Rodrigo was questioned when he left Valencia to join newly-promoted Leeds, but he classes the Whites in the same category as his other clubs.
He was impressed by Leeds’ ambition and says they have achieved their target of establishing themselves in the Premier League after 16 years outside the top flight.
“Leeds is a big club,” he said. “In terms of structure and infrastructure, it’s an elite club at the level of the others I have played for.
“I joined them because of the project they presented to me and they are on the rise.
“This season has been a positive season, but erratic in terms of results.
“The goal was to stay in the Premier League, to keep progressing and to establish the club.
“I think we’re going to achieve that goal and I’m happy at Leeds.”
