Leeds Rhinos to learn semi-final opponent with outcome of Salford Red Devils and Huddersfield Giants key

Leeds Rhinos will discover their semi-final opponent today after securing their place in the semi-finals. The Rhinos overcame Catalans Dragons 20-10 to bag their spot in the Grand Final eliminators, which already features St Helens and Wigan Warriors.

They will be joined in the final four by either Huddersfield Giants or Salford Red Devils, who will go head-to-head on Saturday afternoon to battle it out for the final spot. Leeds' opponent depends on the outcome of that result.

Super League's play-off structure is designed to ensure the team that finished first in the table at the end of the regular season plays the lowest ranked side remaining in the last four. Meanwhile, the second-placed side is then put against the highest-ranked side to come through the first week.

In essence, Leeds will play St Helens if Huddersfield win on Saturday, as that will mean they are the lowest ranked side remaining in the competition. If Salford win, Leeds will travel to Wigan as Salford finished below them in sixth.

If they play Saints, the game is currently scheduled to take place on Saturday at the Totally Wicked Stadium, those everything remains somewhat in the air due to the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. If they face Wigan, they'll be scheduled to make the trip to the DW Stadium on Friday.

Salford and Huddersfield will play one another at 1 PM, with the game being broadcast on Channel 4 and Sky Sports.
