Leeds Rhinos teenager set for Wakefield Trinity move

Wakefield Trinity are set to sign Leeds Rhinos youngster Corey Hall.

Rugby League Live understands the 19-year-old will sign a two-year deal with the West Yorkshire club and become Willie Poching's second signing since being appointed as permanent head coach.

It's understood that Hall met his teammates for the first time today ahead of making the move official.

Hall, a centre, will help Wakefield cover injuries to Bill Tupou and Jack Croft, both of whom are recovering from long-term injuries.

But he will also compete for a spot in the long-term, with the teenager one of Super League's brightest young talents.

An England Academy representative, Hall has made four appearances for the Rhinos since making his debut last year.

He thoroughly impressed during a loan spell with York City Knights at the end of the season, starring for the Championship club as they saw an upturn in results.

However, with Liam Sutcliffe, Harry Newman and Jack Broadbent among those competing for places at centre, Hall will now seek more opportunities with Wakefield for the foreseeable future.

Trinity have already signed the likes of Tom Lineham, Liam Hood and Lee Gaskell for the 2022 season.
