Leeds Rhinos teams news as Richard Agar asks four players to back up following international clash

Richard Agar has asked four players to back up for Leeds Rhinos this afternoon, less than 48 hours after playing in England’s game with Combined Nations All Stars.

Today's Super League clash with Salford Red Devils was due to take place on Friday but was pushed back two days at the request of Leeds due to international call-ups.

Kruise Leeming, Luke Gale, Mikolaj Oledzki and Matt Prior were all involved in Friday’s representative clash at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and all four have been named in Agar’s starting line-up at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Unfortunately, there is no Ash Handley, who misses the game after picking up a head knock while playing for England.

Zane Tetevano and Liam Sutcliffe are also missing due to the RFL’s return to play protocols following Covid.

It means Tom Holroyd comes into the side and will make his first appearance of the year off the bench, while Bodene Thompson is involved from the start at loose-forward.

Leeds Rhinos: Richie Myler; Luke Briscoe, Konrad Hurrell, Tom Briscoe, Jack Broadbent; Kruise Leeming, Luke Gale; Mikolaj Oledzki, Brad Dwyer, Matt Prior; Alex Mellor, Rhyse Martin; Bodene Thompson.

Bench: Tom Holroyd, King Vuniyayawa, Morgan Gannon, James Donaldson.
