Leeds Rhinos player ratings with occasional standout in woeful defeat

Ash Handley - 5: He will be disappointed with the Elliot Wallis try. Ran plenty but not many moments of note.

Nene Macdonald - 6: Another who won't be happy with his part in the Wallis try but like Handley, did a decent job otherwise and had a strong carry in him all game.

Luis Roberts - 4: Had a few shaky moments, to be honest. His fumble instigated Alex Mellor's second try.

Rhyse Martin - 7: Carried so strong again, faultless with the boot and got a try.

Derrell Olpherts - 5: Had what seemed to be an obligatory fumble from a high kick but in fairness, his yardage carries were OK. Had some shaky moments defensively.

Blake Austin - 7: Took control of the team really well and produced two sublime assists.

Richie Myler - 5: In reality, he's a fullback, not a halfback. Couldn't offer a great deal.

Mikolaj Oledzki - 5: Went on one rampant run in the first half but was quiet otherwise. Did score.

Jarrod O'Connor - 6: Crisp distribution and set the intensity defensively. Not given the opportunity to run much.

Sam Walters - 5: Was just generally quiet and didn't do much damage.

James McDonnell - 7: Really like him. Defensively he just dominated every tackle he was involved in. Lovely kick under pressure for the Bentley try and that cross-field kick in the first two minutes was ridiculous.

James Donaldson - 5: A standard, workmanlike display in what was a rare start.

Cameron Smith - 5: Probably not as impactful as usual but did a decent job.

James Bentley - 7: Scored a try, superbly created one and worked his socks off as he always does. Gave away a penalty but that's to be expected!

Justin Sangare - 4: A few erratic moments for the former Toulouse man that put his team in trouble.

Corey Johnson - 5: Dropped the ball first play he came on. Did OK after.

Liam Tindall - N/A - Played around 75 seconds.
