Leeds Rhinos player ratings: Richie Myler and Cameron Smith shine in round one win

Richie Myler - 7

Set up two tries with perfectly timed balls and scored another, running a fine line off a Luke Gale pass.

He'll be disappointed to have been burned by Tom Johnstone for the first try, but he's not the first and won't be the last.

Tom Briscoe - 6

Did OK without anything spectacular.

Carried relatively well in back play.

Jack Broadbent - 6

A game that showed just how dangerous he is with the ball, but exposed some frailties defensively.

But his carry in the first-half created one try and he ultimately scored the crucial score to win the game.

Also produced a brilliant intercept late on.

Alex Sutcliffe - 7

Looked sharp, carrying well and forcing issues for Wakefield. Scored a well-taken try.

Luke Briscoe - 7

His edge was strong in large parts and he finished one try well, as well as creating another with a composed offload.

Liam Sutcliffe - 5

A quiet game from Sutcliffe and part of a weaker edge defensively.

Luke Gale - 5

Understandably rusty as he came up with a few errors as well as some neat touches.

He'll be better for this performance though.

Mikolaj Oledzki - 6

A quiet game from the big prop and looked tired at the end of his first stint.

Kruise Leeming - 6

Quiet for large spells but did the basics well overall.

Matt Prior - 6

Rusty performer who looked leggy at times. Could have done more for Wakefield's third try and gave a few penalties away.

But played big minutes and came up with a key ball steal.

Alex Mellor - 6

Steady away, a bit of a mixed bag but did a decent job.

Rhyse Martin - 6

Missed a few goals which is uncharacteristic of him but was OK otherwise.

Zane Tetevano - 6

A lot of eyes on him and he showed some good touches.

Carried strong and hard in a decent first outing.

James Donaldson - 6

Not quite as impactful defensively as normal but his industry is always key for Leeds.

Cameron Smith - 7

One of Leeds' better pack players on the night, more for his carries with the ball than anything.

Brad Dwyer - 7

Busy as ever trying to make things happen. Not everything stuck but he caused problems.

Bodene Thompson - 7

Did well off the bench, ran hard and helped put Leeds back on the front foot.
