Leeds Rhinos player ratings as senior men lead from front in demolition of Castleford Tigers

Richie Myler: Safe at the back and a threat throughout, coming up with two early assists and a try himself as Leeds Rhinos blew Castleford Tigers away in the first half. 8.5

Jack Broadbent: Got the nod on the wing and underlined his talent with a typically lively performance that featured a try and a burst down the left to lay on another for Kruise Leeming. 7.5

Tom Briscoe: Looked like a man who has been playing centre his whole career, running a good line to score Leeds’ first try and proving a real handful for Castleford’s right edge before getting over for a second late on. 8

Konrad Hurrell: Was livid with himself for missing Jordan Turner for the opening try but redeemed himself in style with a superb chip and chase to touch down in front of the shell-shocked home fans. 7.5

Luke Briscoe: Got in on the act in the first half and had a strong game on the right wing. 7.5

Liam Sutcliffe: It was clear he was in the mood early on as he asked questions of the Castleford defence and he played with his tail up throughout his 60-minute stay on the pitch. 7.5

Luke Gale: Ran the show against his former club and scored the final try to crown a memorable first return to the Jungle. 9

Mikolaj Oledzki: A typically strong performance from the prop to help Leeds get on top early. 7.5

Kruise Leeming: Backed up two breaks to score and was a real livewire throughout his spell. 7.5

Matt Prior: A huge display from the prop, the highlights two big plays with the game in the balance in the opening quarter – a try-saver to deny Jacques O'Neill and a brilliant offload for Leeming’s first. 8.5

Alex Mellor: His biggest issue was stopping the blood streaming from his nose, with the second-rower producing a strong showing on the left edge. 7.5

Rhyse Martin: A lively presence out on the right and a strong contributor to a huge win. 7.5

Zane Tetevano: Rocked Castleford with some huge carries early on and had a big say in the first-half dominance. 8.5

Bench

Brad Dwyer: The hooker watched the early onslaught from the bench but made up for lost time with a try in the closing stages. 7.5

King Vuniyayawa: Not afraid to put himself about as he showed more positive signs. 7.5

James Donaldson: A typically workmanlike performance from the Cumbrian as he helped ensure there was no let-up. 7.5

Morgan Gannon: A day to remember for the 17-year-old as he continued his rapid rise with his first Super League try. 7.5
