Leeds Rhinos player ratings as Rhyse Martin shines in excellent Salford Red Devils victory

Zak Hardaker - 6 : Did his job without really being involved in the key moments of the game. Came up with some strong defensive moments.

David Fusitu'a - 7 : Often started sets well for the Rhinos and did superbly for the opening try, beating Burgess down the touchline. Another big break in the second half but has a bad tendency of producing handling errors. May get a ban if his tackle on Elijah Taylor leading up to Salford's first try was as bad as it looked on first glance.

Harry Newman - 7 : Great support play to open the scoring and largely dealt well with Tim Lafai, Salford's star man at present. Was bumped off that saw them score through Sio but solid over the course of the game.

Liam Sutcliffe - 5 : Didn't have his best day, conceding a penalty with his first tackle of the afternoon and kicking out on the full.

Ash Handley - 8 : Decent display on the whole, defending the kicks that came his way well all afternoon. Kept quiet with the ball until that stunning intercept. Exceptional read backed by brilliant pace. Game-changing moment.

Richie Myler - 8 : Really in form right now. Another good performance, creating the first try and scoring the second. Is really thriving under Rohan Smith.

Aidan Sezer - 6 : Getting involved in the game much more than at the start of his Leeds career, which is good. The things he tried just didn't quite come off for him on this particular afternoon, but some good signs.

Bodene Thompson - 7 : Starting to think he's Leeds' most underrated player. He's not spectacular but whenever he's on the field Leeds are a much better side defensively.

Jarrod O'Connor - 7 : Two assists, the second was a beauty pass for Martin to go over from. More minutes in the bag at nine.

Mikolaj Oledzki - 7 : A number of leg drives that set some good platforms for his side. Not his finest defensive performance but he wasn't poor in that department as such.

James Bentley - 8 : Great performance. Defensively got through a heap of work, as ever, but the quality of some of his reads were superb against a Salford side that ask a lot of questions. Fantastic carry and bump that instigated the first try.

Rhyse Martin - 9 (Star man) : Faultless with the boot, kicking seven from seven, and two great short-range tries. Brilliant. Great display by a back-rower who has been one of Leeds' best players this season.

Cameron Smith - 7 : Was clear that Leeds' plan was to get Salford's pack moving laterally with ball movement. Smith did that excellently for his team and came up with some really smart stuff. Faded in the second-half.

Morgan Gannon - 6 : Every time he comes off the bench I just want to see him play more minutes. Seems such a shame that he's being used off the bench as he's capable of much more.

Zane Tetevano - 6 : Back in the side after suspension. Did OK. One handling error. Sound defensively.

Sam Walters - 4 : Stepped way too easily by Chris Atkin and was brought off after five minutes. Didn't return. Unclear if he was injured, either he was, or Rohan Smith was not happy with him.

Brad Dwyer - 6 : Came on and did what he does, adding zip around the ruck. Made one break on the half-time hooter that came to nothing.
