Leeds Rhinos player ratings as Mikolaj Oledzki and Richie Myler lead way in win over Hull FC

Richie Myler: Safe at the back in a brave performance and came up with the play of the game by running a perfect line to give Leeds Rhinos a cushion. Sin-binned late on, harshly so it appeared. 8

Tom Briscoe: Left isolated for Adam Swift’s opening try but had a strong game in a superb team effort. 7.5

Konrad Hurrell: Another mixed bag from the powerful centre as he came up with some sloppy errors as well as some eye-catching plays, including an important tackle on Mahe Fonua in the first half. 7

Harry Newman: Spurned a good chance in the first half and it was that kind of night for a talented youngster who is still working his way back from a serious injury. 6

Ash Handley: Relatively quiet aside from one break down the left early in the second half which resulted in Kruise Leeming dropping his pass with the tryline begging. 7

Callum McLelland: Came up with a nice play to relieve the pressure midway through the first half and held up pretty well defensively despite being bumped off on more than one occasion. 7

Luke Gale: Nervy start with a forward pass on his return to the side but grew into the game and helped Leeds assert control. 7

Mikolaj Oledzki: Made the tough carries when FC were fired up in the first half and just got stronger as the game went on in a colossal effort. 9

Kruise Leeming: Everywhere in the opening 40 minutes and recovered from bombing a try to lay on Myler’s effort with a lovely flat pass following his move into the halves. 8

Matt Prior: Not as eye catching as Oledzki but got through plenty of work as ever. 7

Alex Mellor: Came up with a good early tackle as FC threatened but that was as good as it got as he was forced off with a knee issue after just four minutes. N/A

Rhyse Martin: Strong showing from the back-rower, who again showed his value from the tee with five out of five. 7.5

Zane Tetevano: Signs of rust in contact but he kept going and played his part in a big win. 7

Bench

James Donaldson: An early replacement for Mellor on the left edge and got through plenty of work in a typically committed performance. 7

Cameron Smith: Adds size and class off the bench, putting the game to bed with a close-range effort. 8

Brad Dwyer: Injected some much-needed energy and urgency after the break, throwing a nice dummy to score on the short side to get his side going. 8

King Vuniyayawa: Showed poor discipline by giving away two six agains in the same set but was otherwise steady. 7
