Leeds Rhinos player ratings as Kruise Leeming and Brad Dwyer impress again in Wakefield Trinity defeat

Richie Myler: Injected himself into the line without success and was not as solid as usual at the back. 5

Luke Briscoe: Unable to finish a couple of half-chances and had some shaky moments defensively. 5

Harry Newman: Struggled to have any kind of influence, one half-break aside. 5

Tom Briscoe: Full of heart and endeavour but did not trouble Wakefield Trinity. 6

Ash Handley: Made some good reads defensively and had a hand in Kruise Leeming’s try but that was as good as it got in an attacking sense. 6

Rob Lui: Laid on Brad Dwyer’s try with a nice kick and held his ground in defence. 6

Kruise Leeming: Scored the opening try and was industrious without getting much help from his team-mates. 7

Bodene Thompson: A solid enough first stint but didn’t appear to return in the second half. 5

Brad Dwyer: Came up with some huge plays with his team on the back foot, most notably the charge down that led to Leeming’s try and the extra effort to score himself on the stroke of half-time. 7

Matt Prior: Guilty of trying too hard as he saw yellow twice, once in each half. 5

James Donaldson: Can never fault his effort but he struggles to provide the Rhinos with an attacking threat on the edge. 6

Rhyse Martin: Was relatively dangerous on the other edge but it just didn’t happen for him. 6

Zane Tetevano: Went hard in his final appearance of the regular season but he was well shackled by the Wakefield defence. 6

Bench

Tom Holroyd: Shrugged off a facial injury to make a good last-ditch tackle on Jacob Miller and worked hard throughout his time on the field. 6

Cameron Smith: Ran his blood to water in the middle but was not quite on it, which was the theme of the afternoon. 6

King Vuniyayawa: One strong run late on aside he struggled to make a dent in the Trinity defence. 6

Callum McLelland: Came up with a huge play as Mason Lino threatened before seeing his afternoon cut short by a leg injury. 6
