Leeds Rhinos player ratings as Harry Newman shines in stunning victory

Ash Handley - 6: A costly error in the first half on his own try line from which Bevan French scored the next play. But did alright for the most part.

Nene Macdonald - 6: Solid enough. Got through his work with little fuss.

Harry Newman - 9: Came up with two massive momentum shifts for his team, and points from them both. Big plays get big marks.

Rhyse Martin - 7: Wasn't the worst in the first half but one of the better ones second half. Finished his try really well. Would be an eight but his defensive effort on Bevan French for his try was really, really poor.

Liam Tindall - 6: Had a dire start to the game with two costly mistakes but fair play, took his try at the end very well.

Blake Austin - 7: Was heading towards a 2 at half-time but then was utterly dazzling second-half. Averaged out, he gets a seven.

Richie Myler - 6: Quietly went about his business without being particularly noticeable.

Mikolaj Oledzki - 7: A much-improved performance from the England international who will look to build on this.

Jarrod O'Connor - 7: Got to credit him. Always at the heart of the defence. But he's getting better when Leeds are on the front foot with the ball.

Sam Lisone - 5: His first stint was utterly abysmal but recovered with a short late effort.

James Bentley -6: Had started OK but a brutal head collision ended his night early.

Zane Tetevano - 4: Red carded for a late and high shot. Thankfully for him, it didn't impact the result.

Cameron Smith - 8: He's just a very good rugby league player, isn't he?

Morgan Gannon - 8: Outstanding effort from the bench. Superb throughout.

Justin Sangare - 6: Back in the side and was decent without being spectacular.

James Donaldson - 7: Did well off the bench.

Tom Holroyd - 8: Awesome off the bench. Probably player of the season so far.
