Leeds Rhinos' new star Zane Tetevano arrives in the UK

It's the moment Leeds Rhinos fans have been waiting for - Zane Tetevano has arrived in the UK.

Tetevano, who will become Leeds' new marquee man after signing a three-year contract with the club, touched down in the UK on Tuesday lunchtime.

He will now have to undergo a quarantine period of five days before being able to link up with the squad for the first time.

It's a timely boost for head coach Richard Agar a month out from the season opener with Wakefield Trinity.

The New Zealand international played in the NRL Grand Final last year for Penrith Panthers and featured for the Kiwis in their victories over Great Britain in 2019.

Now 30, Tetevano is the latest piece in the puzzle for Agar as he looks to take the Rhinos back to the top of Super League.

He joins Fijian forward King Vuniyayawa in adding reinforcement to the pack for 2021, with Vuniyayawa already joining the squad ahead of the season.

Last year's player of the season, Matt Prior, is the final member of Leeds' squad yet to arrive for the upcoming season but is expected in the coming days.

Tetevano will wear the number 13 shirt upon his arrival at Emerald Headingley, with fans potentially getting their first sight of him in action when the Rhinos take on Huddersfield Giants in a pre-season friendly on Sunday, February 14th.
