Leeds Rhinos name squad for pre-season clash with Huddersfield Giants

Leeds Rhinos have named their squad for Sunday's pre-season clash with Huddersfield Giants.

Zane Tetevano and King Vuniyayawa are both set to make their debuts after being named in the squad, though a number of key players are absent.

Luke Gale, Kyle Eastmond and Konrad Hurrell are among those not being risked while Jack Walker and Harry Newman both miss out through injury. Callum McLelland and Alex Sutcliffe both continue to recover from post-season operations while Alex Mellor is also absent.

Matt Prior is another absentee, with Richard Agar deciding to rest the Australian having only linked up with the club last week following his return from down under.

Several young stars will be given their chances to shine, with Jarrod O'Connor, Jack Broadbent, Corey Hall, Liam Tindall, Levi Edwards and Jacob Gannon all selected.

Huddersfield will host the Rhinos in the first meeting between the two clubs of the year. Agar's side won twice by one-point margins last season.

Fans will be able to watch the game with the Giants on OurLeague, with kick-off at 2pm.

The game can be purchased by fans for £4.95, but it will cost £10 if purchased on the day of the game.

Leeds Rhinos squad to face Huddersfield: T Briscoe, Handley, Oledzki, Leeming, Martin, Tetevano, Dwyer, Sutcliffe, Myler, Smith, Vuniyayawa, Thompson, Walters, L Briscoe, Donaldson, O'Connor, Broadbent, Hall, Tindall, Edwards, Gannon.
