Leeds Rhinos name familiar squad for Castleford Tigers showdown

Leeds Rhinos have named an unchanged 21-man squad for Friday night's West Yorkshire derby with Castleford Tigers.

The Rhinos remain without long-term injury absentees Rob Lui, Jack Walker and Harry Newman, as Richard Agar's side look to bounce back from Sunday's defeat to Hull FC.

That means the likes of youngsters Jarrod O'Connor, Sam Walters and Jack Broadbent retain their places in the 21-man squad, as does Bodene Thompson, who missed out on selection last week, but comes into contention for Friday night.

Cameron Smith, Tom Holroyd, Alex Sutcliffe and Callum McClelland are the other first-team players still sidelined due to injury.

The Tigers make three changes to their squad after defeat to Warrington Wolves last weekend. Niall Evalds, Adam Milner and Lewis Bienek all drop out; they are replaced by the returning Liam Watts, whose two-match suspension is over, and duo Cheyse Blair and Jacques O'Neill, who return from injuries.

Leeds Rhinos 21-man squad: Tom Briscoe, Konrad Hurrell, Ash Handley, Luke Gale, Mikolaj Oledzki, Kruise Leeming, Matt Prior, Alex Mellor, Rhyse Martin, Zane Tetevano, Brad Dwyer, Liam Sutcliffe, Richie Myler, King Vuniyayawa, Bodene Thompson, Sam Walters, Luke Briscoe, James Donaldson, Jarrod O'Connor, Jack Broadbent, Morgan Gannon.

Castleford Tigers 21-man squad: Derrell Olpherts, Peter Mata'utia, Michael Shenton, Jake Trueman, Danny Richardson, Liam Watts, Paul McShane, Oliver Holmes, Cheyse Blair, Nathan Massey, George Griffin, Jacques O"Neill, Tyla Hepi, James Clare, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Daniel Smith, Greg Eden, Suaia Matagi, Jordan Turner, Lewis Peachey, Brad Martin.
