Leeds Rhinos legend Jamie Peacock MBE in Twitter spat with Headingley pub

Leeds Rhino legend Jamie Peacock MBE has been caught up in a Twitter row with a popular Headingley pub.

The Rugby League star took to the social media platform to express his disappointment with the service at The Skyrack.

In a message, the forward said he had gone for beers with 'old boys' and then stated "Box Headingley outstanding service - The Skyrack awful...."

But, the Greene King-owned pub fired back at the former England captain alleging he has displayed 'awful' behaviour to a member of staff.

The @TheSkyrack account posted: "You might think the service was awful but we think your behaviour and language towards a young female team member was awful. #always2sides."

It's not the first time the rugby legend has been vocal on social media.

In 2012, he was caught in a Twitter spat with the former Great Britain captain Garry Schofield.

He Tweeted: "What a surprise. The Supercoach and fat slob @GarrySchofield6 won't answer his phone when I ring to give him my opinion of him. #coward "
