Leeds Rhinos halfback to make first appearance of the year against Leigh Centurions

Rob Lui will make his first appearance of the season after being named in Leeds Rhinos' squad to face Leigh Centurions.

Lui has missed the entire season through injury, with the halfback suffering a pre-season quad injury that has resulted in him missing the entire campaign.

But he will start in the game against the winless Centurions, with his return coming at an ideal time with captain Luke Gale starting a two-match suspension.

Liam Sutcliffe is also included and will play at fullback as Richard Agar is forced to shuffle his pack once again. Rhyse Martin has been moved from back-row to centre.

Alex Mellor and Bodene Thompson also miss out through suspension while Konrad Hurrell is absent from the side that beat Salford Red Devils after failing a HIA. That came as a result of a punch from Salford captain Lee Mossop. Richie Myler (finger) is another out as Leeds continue to struggle on the selection front.

Three youngsters, Sam Walters, Liam Tindall and Jarrod O'Connor all come into the squad on the bench, with Mogan Gannon getting his first start and Tom Holroyd also being promoted to the starting line-up.

Leeds: L Sutcliffe, L. Briscoe, Martin, T. Briscoe, Broadbent, Leeming, Lui, Holroyd, Dwyer, Oledzki, Gannon, Donaldson, Prior.

Subs: O'Connor, Vuniyayawa, Walters, Tindall.

Leigh: Mullen, Russell, Thornley, Sa'u, Brand, Brierley, Mellor, Thompson, Hood, Peteru, Hellewell, Gee, Bell.

Subs: Ioane, Wildie, Gerrard, Peats
