Leeds Rhinos forced into changes ahead of Toulouse Olympique clash

Jamie Jones-Buchanan has only named a 20-man squad ahead of Friday night’s clash against Toulouse Olympique. The Rhinos know they will hit the bottom of the Super League table should they lose to Toulouse at Headingley and as a result they’re desperate to snap their winless run against the French outfit.

Leeds will be without Blake Austin, who picked up a head injury in the club’s loss to Castleford Tigers on Easter Monday, meaning Jones-Buchanan will be without both of his first choice half-backs. James Bentley drops out through suspension after being hit with a two-game ban for a high shot at Wheldon Road, while Zane Tetevano will miss Leeds’ next couple of games through suspension, too.

Sam Walters comes into the fold and would make his first Super League appearance of the season if he is involved, while Liam Tindall is also named in a young Leeds side. Matt Prior and Cameron Smith are in contention after missing last Monday’s game.

Leeds Rhinos’ 20-man squad: Liam Sutcliffe, Ash Handley, Mikolaj Oledzki, Kruise Leeming, Matt Prior, Rhyse Martin, Brad Dwyer, Alex Mellor, Cameron Smith, Bodene Thompson, Tom Briscoe, Morgan Gannon, Sam Walters, Jack Broadbent, Jarrod O’Connor, James Donaldson, Muizz Mustapha, Max Simpson, Liam Tindall , Jack Sinfield
