Leeds records highest number of new COVID-19 cases in Yorkshire for second day in a row

Leeds recorded the most new coronavirus cases in Yorkshire for the second day in a row.

The city added another 105 cases of the virus onto its total according to the most recent data released by the government.

In total 428 cases were recorded in Yorkshire, taking the total for the region of those who have tested since the pandemic began to 43,116.

Bradford was close behind Leeds with a further 88 people testing positive for Covid-19.

Third on the list was Sheffield with saw an increase of another 50 cases with Kirklees close behind with another 46 to record.

Also high on the list was North Yorkshire which recorded another 27 infections.
