You can sign up for the Poppy Run coming to Leeds this October.
The Royal British Legion (RBL) wants to recruit as many people as possible to take on the event happening on Saturday, October 30. It is taking place to raise funds and support service and ex-service personnel and their families.
If you want to take on the charity challenge it will be happening at Middleton Park - the distance is 5k. The Leeds Poppy Run is £15 to enter and under 18s go free with entry including a Poppy Run t-shirt and a finishing medal.

There’s also a virtual My Poppy Run scheduled to take place which is free to enter.
Sharon Wells, events partnerships manager for The Royal British Legion, said; “The live Poppy Run, or virtual My Poppy Run is a fantastic way for people to show their support for The Royal British Legion and have some fun with family and friends at the same time.

“Whilst the pandemic has created huge challenges for RBL, as we approach our 100th Poppy Appeal, there will be more ways than ever for people to show their support, including new and remote ways to take part and raise vital funds for service personnel, veterans and their families who are struggling through hardships, injuries and bereavements.”
