A mum and her young child had to be rescued from their burning home by firefighters after an arson attack in Leeds.
The fire took hold at a house in Butterbowl Mount, in Farnley, shortly after midnight in the early hours of Saturday (November 20).
West Yorkshire Police have revealed a rear window at the home was smashed before a fire broke out in the living room as the victims - a mum and her young child - slept upstairs.

They had to be pulled from the home by firefighters who were called to the scene.
Fire investigators believe the blaze was started deliberately and police are treating the incident as arson with intent to endanger life.
Detective Inspector Guy Shackleton, of Leeds District CID, said: "This incident could easily have had more serious consequences and we are treating it very seriously.
"We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances and to identify those responsible.
"We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in Butterbowl Mount or the immediate area around the time of the fire or who has any information that could assist the investigation."
