A shopper was shocked to see a Morrisons worker in a Leeds store wearing his mask around his neck.
They took a picture of the man, who was speaking a colleague behind the fresh meat counter, at the Hunslet store - just days after the supermarket said it would not allow entry to any shopper not wearing a mask.
While his colleague was wearing a face mask, the worker in the picture can be seen wearing his mask "around his neck", the shopper said.
The photograph was taken around 3pm on Tuesday (January 12).
It comes as major supermarkets strengthened their rules on facemasks, with most insisting shoppers would not be allowed in stores unless they had a mask or medical exemption.
Speaking about their policy, Morrisons Chief Executive, David Potts, said: "Those who are offered a face covering and decline to wear one won't be allowed to shop at Morrisons unless they are medically exempt.
"Our store colleagues are working hard to feed you and your family, please be kind."
Just a day after this new policy was announced, two members of staff at the Waterloo Rd store in Huddersfield were filmed by shoppers because they were not wearing their masks.
In the video, the store's security guard - who is responsible for enforcing the mask policy - was also seen not wearing a face covering while inside the store.
But a spokesperson confirmed that, on that occasion, the members of staff were exempt from wearing a face covering.
It is not clear why the manager of the Leeds store was not wearing his mask correctly. Morrisons have been approached for comment.
