Leeds Met Office weather forecast for Sunday with windy day ahead

A windy but dry Sunday awaits Leeds residents.

Temperatures will not reach more than 11C and it will be cloudy and overcast for the entire day.

It will be windiest between 11am and 3pm with winds of up to 20mph forecast.

The wind will ease up in the evening and during the night, however.

There has been some speculation around the impact, if any, Tropical Storm Wanda may have on the weather here in the UK.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "On Sunday night Wanda is expected to weaken and be downgraded to a non-tropical feature, and what is left of this storm will become embedded within a larger Atlantic frontal zone.

"This frontal zone moves across the UK on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"This Atlantic frontal system is not expected to have too great an impact on UK weather but could lead to some of rainfall in some places, and potentially some weather warnings, although the timing and track of the system is still uncertain."

Temperatures will hover between 5°C-11°C.

Sunrise is at 7.17am and sunset is at 4.22pm.
