Leeds Met Office forecast as wet and windy weather to sweep city on Saturday

The weather forecast for Leeds predicts a wet and windy Saturday despite some bright spells in the morning.

Light showers are expected to hit from 2pm which will clear up by 5pm, according to the Met Office forecast.

Winds will strengthen throughout the day with speeds of up to 17mph and temperatures are not expected to reach more than 13C today.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "We’re seeing a change as we head into the weekend with some fairly typical wet and blustery November weather for many.

"A low-pressure system passing passing to the north of the UK will bring thickening cloud, heavy rain and strengthening winds to Scotland and Northern Ireland as we go through Saturday."

Temperatures will hover between 9°C-13°C.

Sunrise is at 7.15am and sunset is at 4.24pm.
